Using Live Messenger with Yahoo! contacts

Does anyone here do this?
Does their picture show?
Do they have to send you a message first before they really show in your
list as a true "messenger contact"?

Just curious if anyone has used Windows Live Messenger to contact Yahoo!
people and had a good time....

Greetings Michael,

Well the feature has been known to break at times.

All you have to do though is add their to Messenger and it should just work
(hopefully). They'll add you to their contact list and then you can IM back and forth (no
file transfer/video/audio though)

Yes, I had to ask them to add me to their Yahoo and then send me a message.
Now it works. But, just putting their Yahoo IM as their IM doesn't cut it.
