Using LiveMail XP on two computers

I have a desktop and a notebook, both using WinXP. I have Live Mail set up
on my desktop. I want to provide an identical setup on my netbook. I've
tried setting it up the same way it's set up on my desktop, but the
installation doesn't seem to see any of my contacts, calendar, etc.

Is there some way for me to be able to use both computers -- a necessity for
me -- and have identical installs on the machines?

Thanks.

The only route is to use the same Live ID to sign on to Windows Live
services on each machine to ensure that the contacts and calendar (stored
online) are available on each machine.

Use of the same Live ID will ensure that synchronization across machines
for that Live ID's contacts and calendar are common.

Your setup, most likely not using a Live ID is using the default contacts
and calendar thus the only route is to maintain each separately on each
machine.

Here's an explanation on the different contacts modes in WLM (Calendar
follows the same logic - online, offline etc)

While it is possible to export the contacts (default, offline mode) to a
csv file and import into WLM on another machine using the default mode,
calendar data is **not** exportable/importable when using the default mode.

P.S.
WLM creates a separate folder structure for each account though it does
have one common Outbook for all accounts.

Pop3 email accounts don't replicate folders across machines, they must be
maintained manually.
- unlike DeltaSync (unique to Hotmail type accounts) or IMAP protocols
which replicate the folders on the server to one or more local machines.

i.e. if common folders are needed (without doing it manually) use a Hotmail
account or configure your isp (and other) email accounts to use IMAP.
