AIM and WLM do not communicate with each other at the moment. They would
need to install Messenger and create a Windows Live ID association with
their AOL address (if they didn't want to create a new hotmail account).
Either that, or you need to use AIM.

Greetings,

You don't, MSN Messenger only supports contacts on the .NET Messenger network with one
notable exception of Yahoo Messenger contacts on Windows Live Messenger after signing up and
using the correct versions.

But even then, you wouldn't be able to use the webcam facility just yet.

So bottom line - each family member that is going to use a new MSN webcam on
their home computer needs to have an msn or hotmail account set up for us to
comunicate with each other. Am I understanding you correctly? This account
would be free and seperate from aol.

You can create a Windows Live ID using the aol address (so no new one
needs to be created. Go to
http://accountservices.passport.net/...b&lc=2057&sl=1
and create an ID there with your AOL account.
