I found and then lost the URL to a site which showed using WHS and a OS
to replace XP or Viste.

Anyone remember this url?

Thanks

Hi,

Windows Home Server is its own OS, not a replacement for XP or Vista.

Windows Home Server is based on SBS 2003 - AKA Windows Server 2003 - AKA
"Windows XP". You would need to obtain Windows Server 2008 to get a server
operating system that is based on the same code as Vista is.

That's true. I am also using Windows Server 2008 and it is quite good
and sometimes even better than Vista. :

It is a worthy upgrade to Windows Server 2003, which itself is very good,
and much better then Windows Server 2000, as it has quite a lot of very cool
new features. On the other hand, whether Vista offers anything useful over
XP is rather dubious.
