I've got the pop3 and smtp settings right....why does it keep asking for my
username and password? And how can I fix this because as it is now, it won't
send/receive.

smtp.mail.yahoo.com for smtp <port 465, SSL>
pop3.mail.yahoo.com for pop3 <port 995, SSL>

what am I doing wrong?

Are you sure you have POP access? The free ones in the US do not.

Have you ticked the box my 'server requires authentication' in the
properties=>server=>settings ? Put in your email address less the @yahoo.com
and your password.
