V 8.1 and slide pic

Hi there i noticd that my frd is able to do a "slide show" thingy to his
display pic... but tried as i might i simply not able to.
i have asked him to screen shot his msn layout and i realised that he is
using another verison cos the icons on his msn are total different from what
i have. There is this shell like icon in his and many others.

Can anyone help me on tis?
