Hello,
when I view internet options/settings/view objects/
(right click) WUWebControl Class it says "damaged"

However, WU thru the web page seems to work,
but AU does not.

How can I "fix" the above control, and is it likely
to help?

Thanks,
Dave

Usually activex control can be deleted ( right click, remove) with no harm.(I
don't have that one.).

Related to
Windows Update WUWeb.dll ActiveX control.FileVersion=5,4,3790,218?
if you are not getting one of those 0x800##### error messages I would not
worry about it for now.

Yes that's it. Windowsupdate from the web site works fine.
It's automatic updates that's not working.
Thanks,
Dave
