Hi Wayne,
Answer to your first question: Over the new few weeks XP systems will be migrated to V6.
I'm taking the liberty of copying a "snippet" of a post by Eric Brodish at Microsoft.
<quote>
We are in the process of rolling out the new V6 Windows Udpate site to our
customers. We are doing a staged proccess starting with Windows 2003
Server. Windows XP will start to automaticly upgrade to the new V6 site
Monday and take about 3 to 4 weeks to upgrade all Windows XP Systems. In
the mean time you can choose to upgrade yourself to the new site by going to
http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate.
</end quote>
Your question on Office will need to be answered by someone else.
