Is this a valid update file or a virus

i got messages that my computer was under attack and to enter the password to
run a mysterious file. i did not run the file and blocked its execution. is
this a valid windows update file? If not, how do I get ride of it?

Do you have a virus protection program on your computer? If so it should
have intercepted this virus if your signature files are up to date. See if
it did and if so did it already remove it or does it offer a way to do so.

If not go to the McAfee or Norton web sites. They offer scans that can be
done over the Internet.
