validation code

i bought a labtop that came with windows xp and it got stolen but i still
have my windows xp disk i tried installing it on my older computer but the
code isnt valid anymore is there any way i can get microsoft to cancle the
code on my stolen laptop? i do have proof of purchas and the box and
everything still
