Validation tool loads over and over

I go to the Update site, it says to download WGA tool, it downloads fine and
says it was successfully updated/installed, and then it gives me a button to
continue.

When I click on the button to continue, it brings up the validation tool
again and says to download it.

Repeats....

Repeats.... How do I get to the actual updates on the Windows Update site?
If the validation tool is installing correctly (as it says that it is), why
does it keep looping back to the option to install it and never showing me
any other available updates from the site?

Launch Internet Explorer and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Internet Options > Settings > View Objects.
Right-click on each item denoted as "Windows Genuine
Advantage Validation Tool" and select "Remove".

Afterward, revisit the Windows Update web site.

Troubleshooting:
