Variations of Aero?

There are many themes for Windows XP Luna interface. Windows Vista,
however, has only one version of Aero ( we can change the color and
its intensity though). Is it possible to make other themes for Aero,
like different system button styles or different border, different
material, etc. Or, is it impossible to customize it by its
architecture? I'm not going to make a custom theme, but am just
curious about it.

PS : Personally, I like Aero better than Mac OSX's look and feel,
except for fonts and menus. I like OSX's larger fonts and translucent
menu better.

Cat,

You'll have to go with third party software.

Yeah, I love my Compiz-Fusion!

It is available through most popular Linux distros.

Or you can spend even more money and get some crappy solution for Windows?

Before SP1 there was "VistaGlazz" (google it) that enabled Vista to use
3rd party themes without additional software. However with SP1 this
program no longer works... Im wating for an update of vistaglazz,

then you can fine hundrends of fantastic themes for Vista that dont need
any third party software.. as long as you have it patched with
vistaglazz, that as I mentioned you cant do now because there is no
update for sp1... even if you dont have SP1 DONT install vistaglazz
because once you install SP1 it will mess things.. so wait for an update!

For example see these themes for vista ALL FREE

I want to add that there IS a way to patch vista manually without
vistaglazz (They say vistaglazz will be ready in a couple of weeks so
its better to WAIT), but this manual patch should be done by geeks and
those who dont care about trashing their system! SO NEWBIES BEWARE!!!!
This is not for the light hearted...

See below the manual patch method

So, there IS a way to do what I thought. Thank you for the links and
information. I have already upgraded to Vista Service Pack 1, so I'd
rather wait for the updated version of VstaGlazz.
