Various Programs not working

What works -
Firefox
Windows Mail (buflash, t open any URL tries to default to Explorer)
All Office programs
Freehand, Flash, Fireworks etc
norton 360, Windows Defender

What doesn't work
Internet Explorer
iTunes
Google Earth
Tom Tom

What I have tried
Switch off both Firewalls
Complete deinstall of Norton
Reinstall of Norton

Very frustrating - any ideas please? - I have Vista Home Edition Premium -
backed up on DVD as suggested

I had to install a later version than I was previously using to get TomTom
Home to work. I'm currently running 2.1 under Vista and it works fine (apart
from the fact I preferred the old interface)

Not all iTunes versions work. I have the most current and it is
working fine for me, but I believe some users have had some problems with
it. Good Luck
