How do I verify Vista is properly activated?

Simply right click on the Computer icon seen on the desktop to look a
the system/user information shown there. At the bottom it will show i
Windows has been activated

You may also go to Start - Help and support and type in "windows activation"
in the search box.

When tried in 7 all you see is the Q+A links when the help and support
window appears. The previous methods posted should work in XP through 7
beta reliably.

Go to control panel and click on the 'system' icon. At the bottom of the
system window you should see a section marked 'Windows Activation'. If your
system has been activated correctly you should see the words 'Windows is
activated'

selecting properties brings you to the same screen. That shows th
version of Windows, what service pack is installed, compute
administator, work group, and the last portion showing if Windows i
activated along with the product key
