Very easy to change drive letters in Vista

Vista has quite a few nice features. One of those features that works for
millions of users is the changing of drive letters. It is done every day
with no problems for most. A few users here, the stupid ones, just can't
seem to get that task done. They blame Vista. The developers have added
the feature and have tested it very well.

Here is a link of how to change drive letters. Very simple for almost
everyone.

I can't believe that a few morons who have tried this and can't get it to
work, blame Vista. In reality they need to look at their computers.

Oh look, the number #2 ****wit speaks. Well dickhead nice try, but you
lied. That's typical of asswipes like Yanaire. The issue I raised
wasn't HOW to change drive letters, it was how come Vista sometimes
"forgets" the drive letter you changed to and then I went on to show
how that ****s up Windows Explorer causing it to lose linkage to any
thumbnail images already made resulting in Vista needing to regenerate
them all. Things both well outside the reach of end users "messing up"
and clearly falling under the category Vista bugs, the very thing boot
licking dumb ass Microsoft worshipers like Yanaire are always in
denial of.

You must really enjoy me painting you as a moron, you keep coming back
allowing me to do it over and over.

It is either a problem with your software (virus, bad install, updates) or
your hardware is not up to spec. Can't be anything else. You need to look
at your drives and see if they are complaint. You need to see if anything
is conflicting with your hardware. You need to see if your Vista is clean.
Simple. If this process works for millions and a few have issues, then it
is YOUR problem. Software just doesn't go haywire without a reason. I know
you don't want to believe that YOU could possibly be doing something wrong,
but you ARE.

Now stop being so "High and almighty" and look for a solution instead of
insulting everyone on the planet. I can't believe how stupid you are when
it comes to figuring out how to solve a simple issue.

You've forgotten that if BlowInYourEar hasn't suffered a problem, it is a
problem that does not exist.

I guess the 'Vista doesn't remember folder views' is a non-existant
problem as well.

Today's post means either 1) he has no short-term memory, most likely
from regularly huffing paint thinner as a kid. In the original thread
yesterday, it was painfully obvious to anyone that can read that the
issue was Windows retention of the drive letter that had already been
changed.

Or 2) Just his trolling behaior.....again.....just to get a rise out of
you. Such behavior that he and Frank are claimed to be against and that
is why they are here to 'clean up the group'. HA HA HA HA HA

You're still desperately grasping at straws in some feeble attempt to
save face. My mama taught me long ago don't waste time trying to argue
with a fool that refuses to listen or learn.

This is a long running problem that SOMETIMES pops up with external
drives and other plug-in devices assigned a drive letter. Following
offered as proof I don't make things up nor am I the only one seeing
this kind of problem.

http://help.lockergnome.com/vista/Pe...pict64806.html

Google has hundreds more similar examples if anyone care to waste
their time looking.

My point AS ALWAYS is to document Vista is buggy as hell, and riddled
with ill thought out design decisions that are inexcusable for a
company the size of Microsoft to keep making. Naturally this isn't new
to Vista, but is a sad legacy of ALL versions of Windows. A FACT well
know to all power users that actually understand how flawed Windows
has always been.

The Microsoft faithful steadfastly attempt to deny this is true and
ALWAYS accuse the person reporting such issues as not knowing what
they're doing or making some feeble excuse to blame anything but the
actual source of the problem: Microsoft poor design and sloppy
unprofessional testing of their software under real world conditions.

More proof this happens all the time can be found here:

http://news.office-watch.com/t/n.asp...paginate=false

Apparently Windows is too stupid to "remember" drive letter
assignments IF multiple external drives are booted and unbooted in
different sequences or in some situations if only some of the
available drives are active. This hadn't been a problem for me since
prior to buying my latest drive I never attempted to mount more than
two external drives at once. Now that I have three, Vista will, but
only sometimes mess up the drive letter assignment. Again this is
clearly a Windows issue as far smarter people than Yanaire are well
aware and offer solutions to. So again, some clumsy half-ass dicking
around is necessary in order to "educate" Windows. The dumbest OS on
the planet.

maybe they are not used to those 30 year old OSs that still use that
depracated method of drive letters...
and understanding why a drive B is still reserved for a second floppy drive
it's a mind maraton.
