very slow download failing service pack 2

i tried installing service pack 2 today on a new windows 2003 server.

when doing it via microsoft update, it fails. when trying to download it
from microsoft.com/downloads, i get download speeds of 8 to 9 kb/s!!!!

other servers are working just fine.
it's not only from my location, i asked a friend to try it from a different
location (different network, internet etc) and it still is very very slow...

any idea what may be the cause of this. and how get sp2?

What error do you see in "%windir%\windowsupdate.log". Please post your
windowsupdate.log file here. (last 60 lines would be enough).
