VGA icon on desktop whe I start the computer

For about four or five weeks I am getting the "VGA icon" rectangle on the
center of the screen when I start the computer. It stays there for a
little while (and cannot be moved!) and then disappears automatically.
While it stays there, it is an annoyance if I open some other windows and
programs. I have to move the windows away from the VGA icon if these are
small since the VGA icon cannot be moved.
This VGA icon began to appear there like I said before a few weeks ago, I
did not see it before.
What I need to do so it would not appear upon startup or what I need to do
so it would not show up like that?
