Hi, I recently did updates from microsoft because my computer was way out of
date... So after downloading all of them, i installed them and then restarted
my computer... When i came back to the Welcome Screen and then desktop, All
my colors and Resolution of my monitor were at very low levels... So what i
did was to try and put them back, but my screen just turned black and never
made an image... Please can someone tell me what the problem is? i think the
update disabled my graphic card or something. I can't install my graphic card
back either...

Thank you to anyone who helps me!

HAve you tried safemode yet?
IF not try that.
If you have an onboard graphics card, use that too for now, try disabling
your VGA then use on board graphics , go to safemode and unintall the update.
Then put back you VGA graphics and try loading to Windows under regular
conditions.
BTW, does your monitor show anything at all, or you can't even get past boot
screen?
If you can't see anything, during even the boot, try finding a new monitor,
and see if your graphics is not broken. Otherwise, you got to buy a new one.
Good luck,
Ali

Hi there,

Hopefully you did not take a Graphics driver from windows update?

Never take drivers from windows update unless they are intended forMicrosoft
hardware.

If an updated driver is needed because the hardware does not work proper
goto the manufacturers website to look for an updatede driver.

If it ain't broke: do not try to"FIX" it.

If you did take the optional drivers from windows update try booting last
known good configuration, rolling back on the driver or use system restore
in safe mode prior to a date of the problem or restore from the full system
backup you hopefully made, if not you can make a windows repair
installation, all your settings will be intact except for all MS windows
updates, you will have to reinstall all of them.

Assuming you are using Windows XP: here you can see how to roll back on a
device driver:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...rrollback.mspx

You can disable the update in question from re appearing when automatic
updates is set by going to the windows update website and unmark (hide)
driver in question.

Best regards,
Michel Denie
