I have a lifecam VX3000. Software for it and windows live are the most
current. When attempting a video call I can see both my image and the
person I am connecting to. However, they can not see me. Audio is fine just
the image is the problem. This happens with multiple people so I think it
lies with my system. I had an XP machine and the webaam worked fine. I
bought a new vista machine and now have this issue. Please advise. This is
driving me nuts. I have seen a lot of similar posts on other sites but no
resolution. Please Help!

Greetings,

What do you see exactly -- a webcam icon with a red X through it or a black image?

If the icon, you may want to consult my blog article on reasons why that would happen:

and if you're getting a black image, it's probably set to the wrong video device. In which
case, press the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose Tools, then Audio
and video setup and go through the wizard.
