Video call WLM 2009 problems

Hi! I've a problem with the video call in windows live messeger 2009. If I
make a video call with a person, who has windows live messenger 8.5, it's
all ok, the videocall works perfectly. But if I call another person, who has
wlm 2009 installed (like me), the video call doesn't work. My webcam image
doesn't appear, instead there is an image like if i haven't a webcam. I
tried with a lots of people but there is always this problem. If I only show
my webcam video, and not make a videocall (from the button), it works.

I have the same problem. I can see and hear my contact and my own picture
perfectly. They can hear me and can see themselves, but cannot see me.
Apparently, my picture has a line going across it.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

I am having the same problem I can see my sister and hear her. She can hear
me but there is no video. If we just use the webcam mode, we can see each
other but the microphones do not work.

What make/model of webcam are you using?

Are you behind a firewall or using NAT?

Having the same problems.

During a Video Call I can see my webcam and my contacts webcam fine. But my
contact cannot see my webcam. They get something like a blank screen with a
camera crossed out like i don't have a webcam. Sometimes if we keep trying
and trying we can finally get it to work.

If I just send my webcam rather than do a video call it works fine, but that
way sucks!

It seems alot of people have this problem. There must be a solution out
there somewhere.

I'm using a Clique Communications HUE HD Webcam - 1.3 Megapixel.
