i am sorry of this has been asked before but not very computer minded.

have a lap top using vista home premium, bought a microsoft webcam that
works ok, i then wanted to video call and bought a head set that used 2 jack
plugs. This did not work very well if at all. neither would it work on voice
recognition software.

yesterday i bought the microsoft headset, with usb commection. i loaded the
software and the headset works on the voice software but cannot get it to
work on video messaging. i have gone through the tools set up and everything
seems ok but when i connect nothing happens. i have noticed that if i try and
voice call what appears to be the mic indicator is at the top and on video it
at the bottom, sorry if i have confused

hope someone can assist me
