Hello, hopefully someone can help with this...
I have been trying to have a video conversation with my dad. We both have
the same webcams and decent spec PC's running XP and Windows Live Messenger.
Once we have a video conversation established with cam and sound working
fine, my dads PC reboots itself. This can happen anything from 20 secs to 5
mins after starting the conversation.
Any ideas what may cause this and how to avoid it !!

Thanks ... BJ

I had a similar situation happen to me with "screen recording" software.
it turned out to be a video driver (the screen that is).
you might want to have your dad check to see if there's any firmware updates
he could do (the support site of the manufacturer of his computer).
he could also do:
start/ control panel/ computer management
check the error logs and application logs to see what happened right before
the reboot.

HTH
