An updated driver is not needed unless it either gives better functionality
or cures a problem.
Winupdate has, in the past, supplied corrupt drivers - nvidea and silicon
image that I know specifically
The version numbers given often differ from the version numbers given by the
manu.
Winupdate drivers should give a health warning - downloading this driver may
cause sys instability.
Whilst I admire MS's intent the implimentation is flawed.
