Video Driver - Nvidia Ge Force FX 5200

I am having problems with my computer. Windows Update can never download this
driver update for my graphics card. Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

System Specs:

Win. XP: Home Ed. v2002 SP1
512MB RAM
Intel Pentium 4, 2.1Ghz

go to the nvidia site to get the latest driver.

Get the driver from the Nvidia website, not from Microsoft.

Good advice. I did that weeks ago but windowsupdate continues to report
that their download is needed. I'm just ignoring it (and couldn't
install it if I wanted to, given other problems with windowsupdate!) but
shouldn't windowsupdate recognize that I have an even newer version than
what they want me to downolad?!

An updated driver is not needed unless it either gives better functionality
or cures a problem.
Winupdate has, in the past, supplied corrupt drivers - nvidea and silicon
image that I know specifically
The version numbers given often differ from the version numbers given by the
manu.
Winupdate drivers should give a health warning - downloading this driver may
cause sys instability.
Whilst I admire MS's intent the implimentation is flawed.

Go directly to the manufacturer's site and download it from there.
