Video with Mac and PC?

Is it possible to have a video conference with one user using a Mac
while the other using a Windows XP or Vista machine?

Yes, but not on Messenger (right now anyway, future versions of the Mac client supposedly
will support it). The best way (in my opinion at least) is to use Skype (www.skype.com) for
multi-platform voice/video.
