Viewing history of instant messages

As a parent, I would like to periodically view what is being said to and by
my children. Is there a way to capture IMs to review later?

Hi TC,
You can retain logs of conversations in Messenger by clicking on Tools then
Options then Messages and checking the box marked 'Automatically keep a
history of my conversations' - then nominate the folder in which you want to
save them for later viewing. I suspect you might have to do this when they
are logged in - since only one person uses this computer I have never needed
to know that - perhaps another contributor could assist you with that. Hope
