Virtual PC in Restart Loop

Using Virtual PC 2007 SP1 when i start a Windows 2008 sesion from a.vhd that
I downloaded from Microsoft, the virtual session starts and after loading
files has completed, restarts again. will continue in loop until shut down.
Has anybody encountereed this problem. Would appreciate any assistance

Most likely this is a virtual machine that is meant to be used with
Hyper-V, and it will not be compatible with Virtual PC.

Ben,

Are you saying that if I create a VM on a Hyper-V server, I can't copy the
VHD to Windows 7 and recreate a similar VM with VPC7?

Correct, the "hardware" is VERY different between a hyper-V VM and an Windows
VPC VM, they are not compatible.
