Visio Upgrade on Vista 64 bit

I have Visio 2002 Pro not installed on a new Vista Home Premium 64-bit
system. I want to upgrade to Visio 2007 Pro (purchase upgrade only) but
want to know it I need to install Visio 2002 first. If necessary to
install Visio 2002 before the update, is it compatible with my Vista
64-bit system?

I think you'll get the best advice on this from the Visio newsgroups.
Someone there is bound to have experience of this.

The two which seem most hopeful are:

microsoft.public.visio
microsoft.public.visio.general
