Vista 64 and .NET 3.5

I tried downloading Visual Studio Express 2005 for C++ on my Vista 64 pc and
it installed but I couldn't figure out how to launch it, there was no exe to
launch it. So I uninstalled and then downloaded the new Orcas one but it
hung on the installation of .net v3.5. Then I tried to just d/l and install
..NET 3.5 on its own and that didn't work either...I'm out of ideas

You're posting in the wrong NG. You need to be posting to MS.Public.dotnet
NG based on the language being used or even a MFC NG.
