The major advantage of a 64 bit OS is the ability to use more than 3.5 GB of
RAM. Office is only 32 bit but you can still take advantage of a 64 bit OS.
If you have many programs open at the same time more RAM (and Vista x64)
makes this much faster. With Vista x64 I can be running a video, several
virtual machines for testing, and still use Word. On Vista x86 on the same
computer running the same programs causes Word to be so slow it's unusable.
It all depends what you do with your computer.
