Hi All

I am really confused. I have Windows Vista 64 bit Edition, which
have installed SP1 on. I have 4gb of Ram, which is correctly shown i
the System Information (this is also shown as 4gb in my 32bit Vista OS)

But here is the problem, in the Perfomance tab of Task Manager it show
that I only have 3070MB of Physical Memory. In the Resource Monito
confirms this

My motherboard supports 8gb ram, and I am using Crucial memory, th
model of which is supported by the motherboard

Does anybody know why this might be, and how I can resolve this issue

Thank

TP5harp

You might have to turn on Memory Remapping in your bios if you have th
option
'The system memory that is reported in the System Information dialo
box in Windows Vista is less than you expect if 4 GB of RAM i
installed' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605

First thing to do is to see if your BIOS supports more than 4GB of memory. If you do
not have the memory remapping option then either flash the Bios with the correct
upgrade or replace it to comporting one
