Debby,
FTP logon issues *may* stem from the 2 updates that address the
vulnerability in this Security Bulletin, Debby:
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS10-019 - Critical
Vulnerabilities in Windows Could Allow Remote Code Execution (981210)
The 2 updates are KB978601 and KB979309. The only way to know for
certain that these, or at least one of them, are causing the logon
issue, means that you should first install KB978601, restart if prompted
to, and then check to see if the issue is present.
If not, install KB979309, restart if prompted to, and then check again.
IF one of the above Security updates is causing this FTP logon issue,
then contact MS to notify them and they will assist you for ***

prompted to, and see if one of them are causing this issue.
