Vista 64bit disk

I purchased the business version of vista from Windows marketplace, then I
performed an anytime upgrade to Ultimate, now I would like to change to vista
64 but I don’t have a disk and I am not sure that my current key will work. I
called Microsoft about obtaining alternate media (64 bit disk) however they
informed me that I couldn’t get a dish through the alternate media plan
because I bought from marketplace and not a retail canter. This is nuts to
me. There must be some reasonable way to get a 64 bit disk in which my key
will work without purchasing an entirely new version of vista. I mean dang I
paid a ton for this, and now with me still playing fair they won't send me a
64 bit disk or let me purchase one for a minimal fee. Surely there must be
some avenue I have over looked. Any help would be appreciated.

We feel your pain, but you learned something the hard way. Learn the
licensing and other limitations of software before purchasing.

You'll have to purchase a 64-bit version of Windows Vista.

I would try purchasing it off ebay. Its annoying that they didn't include a
copy of 64 bit Vista easier through the different channels.

Unfortunately, you purchased OEM instead of retail and this is one of
the benefits of retail.

One of the many reasons you paid less for your OEM than others pay for
retail.

i didnt buy OEM i bought from windows marketplace so i could just download it

If you know someone with a 64-bit DVD, borrow it and install Vista with it.
Keys are interchangeable between 32 and 64-bit versions. Or you could order
one from here:

Click on the 'Buy Now' green button. Choose an edition to upgrade from (it
doesn't matter which you select as you only want the media, not a new
licence).
Click the 'Choose Windows Vista <edition>' green button
On the next page, select 'no' for the 'Do you have a Windows Anytime Upgrade
Disc?'
Now this next bit is very important. Click 'remove' from the purchase list
for the licence, leaving just the disc in your basket.
You can change the system type from 32-bit to 64-bit here.

The 64-bit disc only costs a few dollars.
Do a clean install with the disc, don't enter your product key (as it's an
Upgrade key)
When installed, run Setup from within the Vista desktop, do an Upgrade
install, and this time enter your Ultimate product key
