I am wondering if there is any possible way of retrieving the activation
code, currently in the process of creating a Vista Home Basic DVD with SP1
intergrated into it, currently have same activated and legit on system.

I relise that you can call or even activate it over the internet, but this
is anoying everytime I install a fresh copy of the OS.

I am creating my own personal edition of vista that contains SP1 and
Programs I enjoy using.

No. Anytime you install or reinstall Windows Vista
or Windows XP, product activation will be required.

Activation is used as a means to control what you can and can't do with
MS software.

If you want an OS that you can customize without the consent of the
copyright owner, then look into GNU/Linux.

But he wants useful software. He doesn't want to join a cult.

Linux is very useful and bullet proof compared to Windows when it comes
to viruses, malware and root kits.

This from a Christian, one of the biggest cults in the world.

Guess what, an operating system is not a religion or a belief, cult or
otherwise.

LOL! Then disprove it, or you are just an ostrich hiding its head in the
sand.

It's quite useful for me. Expecially useful for keeping my money out of
the hands of convicted corporate monopolist.

There is no GNU/Linux conjob on its users, like MS colluding with Intel
to screw Windows Home Users and Small Business Owners with Vista-
Incapable computers.

What, didn't you know the biggest tech cult there is is filled with you
MicroDrones thinking Vista is the Second Coming, when all it is, is a
flawed disabled by design OS.

I can see I have opened a lively debate, let me advise all linux people that
I have infact used linux and found it to be worse. I am not in any way
saying that Windows is better but gnu software tends to let others program
stuff into linux that could be harmful to a users computer.

no back to the issue, as for the MVP's comment, well I wont say but I was
able to do it with windows xp and i am sure u can do it with vista, in fact
one way is to backup the activation files, it worked on xp 9 out of 10
times. As for any Xp crusaders I intend to stick with vista as it has served
me well so far

Oh, horseshit.

For one thing, you can read the source yourself so you know
exactly what the programs do.
