I'll tell the truth IMO about Vista. It is a HUGE change from previous
Windows just like WFW was to DOS and 95 to WFW. Then 98 came along and
although people complained it wasn't much different. Then 98SE and no much
change here either. Millennium came out and most people complained about no
Dos. Finally XP arrives and it was a WOW operating System, but not without
it's faults as well. Now Vista is here, for many there is no WOW and because
it is so different it is natural for people to complain.
If you read over these groups I think you will see not all, but many are
just people looking for ways to make their software or hardware work, why?
because many venders did not get their drivers into MS in time to ship
Vista. When something don't work for someone, their first reaction is, I
HATE THIS and now Vista is to blame. Watch these groups and MARK my word.
Now Vista SP1 is about to ship, people think it is a CURE ALL and for some
it might be, but for many it won't or at least they are expecting something
from the skies.
You will see these same people who are bashing Vista right now will be the
same ones once again complaing about SP1. No matter what MS does it won't be
enough, it's the nature of the beast. Now I know you ask for a link, but if
you Google a little I think you will find lot's of articles to read. I'm
just stating my opinion just like the articles you will find does. That's
all they are, opinions.
BTW, here is a link for you to read over about SP1, it's huge, but worth the
read and should explain a lot about Vista and why it is the way it is.
