Vista after Installing Vista SP1

1. I installed Vista SP1 on my Vista Machine (basic). It seemed to install
ok, but I did not do any work in it since SP1 was installed. Today I tryed
to enter the "My Documtnets" folder and it has a check mark in the icon and
it said "access is denied" when I clicked on the folder. Their are a lot
more folders in the same boat. I can not open them and I can not delete them.
2. Live Update does not work. Their is a New Update icon on the toolbar
that says "New updates are available". I clik on the icon and all it does is
open my Windows Explorer. That is as far as I can go, it just sets there
like a dummy, just about what I am at this point. I tried to do a manual
update, but when I got to the screen to update, it said I had to update
through the Start Up mene using Windows Update. I tryied that and all that
does is open up Windows Explorer, I go to Control Panel and click on Windows
Update and it goes back to Windows Explorer.
All I can get is a viscios circle of nothing. Any suggestions on how to
correct the problem would be appreciated.

Was SP1 offered by Windows Update or did you install it manually, Ivan?

Unlimited installation and compatibility support for Vista SP1 is available
at no charge through 18 Mar-09
