In one of my business locations I am all Vista.
The computers do not network stably, every machine sees folder access and
ownership in its own unique way regardless of settings, Vista notebooks tend
to freeze when coming out of standby regardless of settings and wireless
machines drop their connections.
Fortunately the more mission critical worksites are all XP all the time:
rock stable.
Intel gets it but Microsoft has its head in the sand.

Try XP, Ubuntu or Fedora.

Like so many... Blame the software. I can never understand why millions -
including myself - have used Vista since its introduction wiith vetually no
hassle at all.

Get the installation right on a properly set up PC - without all kinds of
background activity - and there will be no problems.

And stop funning all those third-party programs to improve operation. They
don't work. Especially Registry cleaners.

You are probably using cheap notebooks - at the minimum of Vista specs.
