Thanks for the replies. I just recently installed my Norton IS 2008 upgrade,
but I first removed my Norton IS 2007 and Save and Restore 2.0 with the
Norton Removal Tool. While I had no Norton programs on my system, I tried to
run the system restore. It still got hung up. I have done this in safe
mode, and I have done an upgrade repair process, etc, and Norton was not in
the loop, so I am mystified there. As far as my IE7 hang up, to go from
working with 2003 Office to stalling with just a 2007 Office upgrade, and
nothing else being added or changed in my system also mystifies me that there
is some connection with maybe something else and whatever Office 2007 loaded.
My son has a Vista laptop with Office 2007 installed, and no real problems
there either. While I have had Office 2007 installed, I ran IE7 with no
add-ons, and did a IE7 reset. It seems to work a little bit, and then goes
south again. I have done all the virus and adaware checking and Hijack this,
but I couldn't tell enough of what Hijack this found to be concerned or not
with stuff on the system.
