I recently received notebook with Vista Home Premium sp1 which came with IE7.
I wondered if there is any way I can transfer the Favorites from my IE6
which I have on my WinXPsp2 notebook to the IE7 Favorites on the Vista
notebook?
If it is possible, how would I do it? I have small 'flash' drive.
Thank you,
Alice

Think EXPORT and IMPORT.

In IE6, click on FILE... find "Import and export..." and EXPORT your
favorites (cookies too, if you like).

Take the resulting files to the Vista machine and IMPORT them.

Start IE:

File > Import/Export.

Under the File menu in IE there's an Import Export option. You can export
the bookmarks from your IE6 .. save the bookmark.htm to a file. Then start
IE7 on your other machine and import the file. If you do not see the File
menu, just hit the Alt key and it will appear.

Everyone else is saying "Export/Import" I prefer to just copy/paste.

On the XP notebook, the Favorites folder is in C:\Documents and
Settings\(Username)\Favorites\ I'd select everything except
desktop.ini.

On the Vista notebook, the favorites in located in
C:\Users\Username\Favorites

Even the smallest of flash drives will be sufficient.
