Vista and Internet Explorer question

Dear All,
Please can you help.
Having just returned to university as a grey haired student, I go to IE a
lot to look up two url's in the drop down part of the address bar and then
enter a login name and a password.
Is it possible to automate this action and put it into an icon I can put on
my desktop to allow me quicker access?
Please advise.

Do you know of a website that this would work with, which is not an FTP
site?
