Actually this appears to be a Windows Search problem, do you use it or
do you dislike disabling it for some valid reason other than the fact
that it "Sounds like a good idea".
They seem to have got something drastically wrong with the "Background"
concept. I ended up having to go to drive properties and disabling
"Index this drive for faster searching" because 2 machines here simply
ground to a halt with "Busy" icons for minutes at a time, and these were
not slow machines otherwise.
Besides which why are Microsoft so obsessed with creating complete
catalogs of user's machines?
