Vista and messenger 8.1 beta

Im running Vista Business 32bit at home, i downloaded and instlled messenger
fine. Worked great for all of twenty minutes when up pops a box telling me a
new version is available. before i click no i dont want it (or something
along those lines) it downloaded and installed 8.1 beta. as a result as soon
as messenger logs on it crashes. anyone else had this problem?

You are likely running into the flash crash. Try updating your version of
flash. http://www.adobe.com
