VISTA and Messenger Don't Work Together

I've had nothing but trouble with Live Messenger 8.1 and Vista. I haven't
had too many issues with other applications or with Vista itself. I have had
to restore Vista repeatedly after Messenger because it does some type of a
"hard lock" on the registry. It will not release registry handles. Here is
one SMALL example (the others are with 20 or more registry entries).
