Vista and screen freezes

I've seen lots of chat about this issue but no "official" solution. My new
DELL system had Vista pre-loaded and is generally very good, fast enough and
user friendly (for MS that is)...however it is subject to frequently
screen/cursor/processor freezes. It usually occurs within a few minutes of
start up - and can then happen randomly thereafter - ie when I'm
browsing/emailing or even just listening to music (though when that happens
there is a background "buzz" as if the track is stuck!

can anyone help - is Microsoft listening???

Visit the Dell support web site and look for any new
driver updates, including a possible BIOS update.
If available, download and install them.

Thanks very much Carey...I've downloaded a selection of the other DELL
Drivers/updates (I don't think they all apply). I haven't noticed any
immediate difference but as this was a relatively random occurrence then only
time will tell if it works
