Vista & USB KVM switch

I have a IOgier mini view micro USB KVM switch I am using to share USB
keybards& USB wireless laser mouse& monitor between Vista and XP Pro x64.
Vista has booting problems sometimes (either won't boot or reboots by its
self ) The KVM is XP original release vintage . Would a new one work better
or is the problem o USB Vista issue?
I would like to keep using the keyboard as it is relabeled for right dvorak
keyboard
Pre Vista purchase question to IOgear told me me all IOger products worked
with Vista.Best Buy web page does not list Vista as compatable with the KVM.
Any help would be greatly appreaceded. I am actually afraid to use Vista
because of this problem.
Computer has a AMD Phenom 2500processor with 2GBof Kennington Hyper X 1066
Ram with a 512 MB video card & Vista Ultimate.
