The Service Pack 1 release for Vista, does not offer any significant
improvements, which is typical of Service Packs. SP1 for Vista will enable
new industry standards such as better support for Wireless standards and
general improvements in performance, reliability/stability. Windows XP SP3
and Vista SP1 are expected sometime in early 2008, exact dates have not been
revealed since the focus is more on quality that meeting a dead line.
Microsoft is always striving to improve the quality of their products.
Windows Update is one of the great examples of this effort, since its
implementation, Microsoft has continually improved the service to deliver
improved experience for Windows, software and hardware devices. Windows
Vista SP1 is currently in testing as of this writing. It is expected to be
released sometime in the first quarter of 2008.
