Use NeoSmart Technologies EasyBCD to edit the start up settings:
EasyBCD by NeoSmart Technologies would be your answer, it provides a
graphical front end to the BCDEdit Command line that makes it easy for you
to define start-up settings and edit boot entries on the new Windows
Longhorn Server/Vista boot manager. http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1

Maybe you shouldn't get rid of XP until you are sure everything you do runs
well with Vista. People are cursing at Vista because their software doesn't
work.

Not me! Other than one ScanSoft program that will not run everything on
my Vista x64 (won't run on XP x64 either)all of my software runs just fine.
That statement of yours is simply not correct.

The statement is correct. There are people cursing Vista all the time. I
didn't say ALL people, I said people. Just look through the posts in this
newsgroup and you will see that. If you don't see that, maybe you haven't
had enough to drink!

It's certainly true that there are some people who find that some of their
older applications don't work with Vista. That's true with every new
operating system; not every older application works with it.

However, my own personal experience is like Frank's: except for a couple of
utilities, everything I have works with Vista. I know lots of others who
have had similar experiences.

So you're saying that your drinking makes or helps make your statement true?
Is that correct (snort)?

That is 100% correct. Our collective (or stand alone) drinking will make
almost any statment true. Give it a try tonight and you will see what I
mean :-)

I dunno, that's up to you, but what ever you drink, make sure it's Vista
compatable!

I myself, drink a 32bit Whiskey from a 2bit company!
