Not Vista's fault, for sure...you have sound disabled, by any chance?

can some one help me can not get sound no my laptop it is saying no audio
device is installed

I chased this problem for a long time. I couldn't record anything. Under
Recording/LineIn it would say Currently Unavailable. What I am finding out
is that the sound chip may be faulty. This means I will have to replace my
motherboard.

No! No! Just get a Soundblaster for about 30 bucks.
