Restart the computer and tap the F8 key to get the Advanced Boot Options
menu. Select the option to not Automatically restart on failure. Now it
might stop at the blue screen to show the error.
You could also run startup repair by booting from the Vista DVD.
A Stop error occurs, or the computer stops responding when you try to start
Windows Vista
