I used the Vista (Home Premium) Wizard to backup my data files before I did a
complete system restore.

I'm trying to restore my data files now, and have used every Vista Backup
and Restore Center Wizard option possilbe to restore the files from my DVD
that I can, but with no success. I can see the files on the DVD, but can't
get the Wizard to work with them.

I have tgried to copy them to a folder on my desktop, but the Global Catalog
file will not copy. I get a message with it saying that there is an error
which reads, "Error 0x80070570:THE FIle or directory is corrupted and
unreadable.

What can I do?

Thank you,

Why do so many Windoze users constantly report file corruption problems?
After all these years, one would think Microsoft could come up with a
stable filesystem. Guess they can't.

Cheers.
