Vista bad for WoW cinematics?

I read that Vista doesn't like the Indeo codec...

So, I'm suspicious that the excessive static I hear while watching either of
the fancy intro cinematics from World of Warcraft (one for originl game, one
for expansion) is due to some Vista glich?

Blizzard tech support forums don't reply to this question...
